Our Mission
Our mission is to create safer communities by addressing sexual abuse where it begins. Through providing evidence based sex offender specific treatment, Specialized Counseling Associates LLC, is tasked with reducing the risk of sexual recidivism while creating healthy members of our society.
Our Model
Using evidence-based practices we utilize the Good Lives Model combined with a trauma informed cognitive behavioral approach to treatment. This in conjunction with portions of the relapse prevention model forms the basis of our treatment. All therapists are trained in motivational interviewing and EMDR and use these techniques through out the treatment process.

Treatment is driven by an ecological approach to include parents, family, social service agencies, and probation officers. Through this team approach children are both supported and held accountable for their behaviors.
Services for this population includes juvenile risk and needs assessments, intake assessments, psycho-educational groups, group therapy, individual therapy, parent groups, and ongoing family therapy. For more information please contact us directly.
Sexual Education and Responsibility
Our Sexual Education and Responsibility Group is a 12 week group that aims to educate men on the various dynamics involved in prostitution for both themselves and the women they seek out. The group further explores the underlying causes and personal etiology each individual possesses that led to searching for sexual encounters through prostitution. Underlying contributing factors are expounded on and further processed through understanding personal patterns, addictions, deficits, and dynamics. Ways to meet their sexual and often interpersonal needs in future goal setting and risk management planning is covered in detail to support decreasing recidivism.
